I started the Dukan Diet because the princess Kate Middleton lost weight for the big wedding on it. We Americans all know that the French seem to have something in the dieting area. The Dukan Diet is the number one diet in France and is now making a name in the US. The Dukan Diet 2 Steps to Lose the Weight, 2 Steps to Keep it off forever Book was Created by Dr. Pierre Dukan.
I tried the Dukan Diet and wanted to follow the attack phase for the total of 10 days. I could only stay on the Dukan diet for 3 days. I found it to be too restrictive and very similar to the Adkins diet. The difference between Dukan and Adkins was that you have to eat lean proteins on the Dukan Diet. You aren't even allowed to eat the yummy fatty bacon.
It was a novel idea and sounds good in the book and in theory. But the Dukan Diet did not work in my real life. I work around food and the food I work with and can eat for free was not on the attack phase of the diet. I also have a super sweet tooth and this had no allowances for that, not even fruit, which made this part of the diet ultra hard for me.
